Emilia oversees a small church in a remote village bereft of a priest. As the village has no priest, Emilia does her best to provide religious services for the village in addition to taking care of the poor, sick, and wounded. As a result of her hard work, the village community has come to greatly respect Emilia, viewing her as a living saint. Emilia lives in a small house on the church grounds.
